About me
I am an End of Life Doula, an Artist, and Therapeutic Gong Practioner. Being a compassionate presence during dying, death, and grief holds great meaning to me.I came to be a doula through a desire to normalize death and grief as essential parts of the human life experience. Talking about death can be a means of feeling less fearful and more connected, as well as a way to find clarity on how we want to live our remaining lives, at any age or condition.Doula work: Non-medical Compassionate Care
As an EOL Doula I can hold space for a person’s vulnerable moments and their journey with the unknown, with respect for their personal beliefs. I intend to advocate for my client’s deepest values and feelings of wholeness.
The way in which we die is a legacy in itself; And when we have the opportunity to plan and find grace for ourselves, we give that gift as a comfort to our loved ones as well.
I provide care during one’s last 3 months or last 3 days. Among other offerings I can create a comforting bedside environment, provide hands-on comfort, attend to basic needs, demystify the stages of death, help initiate conversations, discuss ways to “get your affairs in order,” help plan for one’s final moments, and be a respite or compassionate presence. My support can make more room for moments of joy and meaning."End of Life Project"
My studies and personal experience have taken me on an exploration of my own mortality and uncovered what is most meaningful to me in this life. This has brought forth a clear map of how I want to live. I can work with you, at any stage of life, to create a vision map of your ideal end of life circumstances, clarifying what is most important. This serves as both a planning tool and a jumpstart guide on how one can live their most meaningful life.Certificates of Study
